- PROJECT MANAGER
Job Description:
Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager will oversee the daily operations of the project, ensuring that all components are delivered on time, within scope and budget. This role involves leading the secretariat team, coordinating with project leads, and maintaining clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including funders, partners, and team members. The Project Manager will also be required to prepare and present regular project status reports.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum of Master’s degree (MPhil) in Management, Public Administration, Environmental Science, Climate Studies, Sustainability Science, Finance or a relevant discipline
- A PhD degree in Environmental Science, Climate Studies, Sustainability Science or related fields will be highly advantageous
- Relevant experience in project management, strategic planning, and research
- Be charismatic, dynamic, confident, have excellent writing skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- FINANCE MANAGER
Job Description:
Reporting to the Project Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial management of the project’s activities. The successful candidate will lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets. Other key responsibilities include monitoring project expenditures, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and compliance with donor guidelines, the University of Ghana’s Financial regulations, and national financial regulations.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a research or development project context
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Experience with development partner-funded projects and familiarity with their financial management requirements is highly desirable
- High level of attention to details and accuracy in financial management and reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

- PROCUREMENT OFFICER
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Procurement Officer will manage the procurement of goods, services, works, and consultancy for the project in compliance with the Public Procurement Act 663 (2003) and University of Ghana regulations. The Procurement Officer will be required to coordinate logistics, prepare procurement plans, manage contract awards, work with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with tender processes and timely payment and delivery of materials. The Officer will also evaluate supplier performance, maintain procurement records, and oversee the clearance of imported goods, ensuring efficiency and adherence to procurement and financial management regulations.
Qualifications and requirements
- A Master’s degree in Procurement and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in procurement management (e.g., Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS, UK) or equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Public Procurement Regulations and understanding of technical, commercial and legal aspects of procurement
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a medium to large organisation with frequent and high volumes of procurement activities. Experience with project implementation is desirable
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) OFFICER
Job Description:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of ICT, including hardware, software and networks, and ensuring smooth operations of all ICT systems and infrastructure of the project. The ICT Officer will work closely with the project team to identify and implement technology solutions that will enhance the project operations and drive efficiency. The successful candidate will develop and implement ICT policies and procedures, ensuring data security and compliance for the project.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field of study. Candidates with professional certifications from accredited institutions will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing ICT support and supervision
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and applications
- Experience with research-specific software and tools (e.g., data analysis, visualization)
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and collaboration tools
- Adequate experience in website and database development and maintenance
- Proficiency in network administration, cyber security and data management
- Ability to work independently with little supervision

- COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT (CPE) OFFICER
Job Description:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Communications and Public Engagement Officer will develop and execute communication plans for engagement with stakeholders, beneficiaries and policymakers. The CPE Officer will implement plans to increase the visibility of the project, including managing its social media platforms, website, and digital channels. The successful candidate will draft press releases, newsletters, policy briefs, coordinate public engagement activities like events, workshops, and conferences.
Qualifications and requirements:
- A Master’s degree in Public/Community Engagement, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a communications or public engagement role
- First-hand experience in communications management or public relations. Experience with climate change, sustainability, and African development-related activities is an advantage
- Strong verbal and excellent written communication skills.
- Proficiency and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite (Publisher, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Be charismatic and dynamic with excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in digital media management, including graphic design, social media and content creation

- MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING (MEL) OFFICER
Job Description:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer will develop and implement comprehensive data-driven approaches to track the project's progress and ensure implementation of best practices. The successful candidate will evaluate the project’s performance and make recommendations for improvement. The MEL Officer will also be expected to prepare regular reports for stakeholders, including funders, detailing project achievements and areas for development.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation or a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Statistics, Project Management,
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within an academic, research institution or on a development project. Experience with project implementation processes is an added advantage
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Proficiency in data analysis and graphical software (Microsoft Power BI, Excel, SPSS, Tableau, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience in writing detailed evaluation reports

- ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (NETWORKS, POLICY, LEARNING AND DISSEMINATION)
Reporting to the Team Lead for Networks, Policy, Learning and Dissemination, the Administrative Assistant team will be responsible for managing daily office operations, supporting the coordination of team activities, and ensuring effective communication across the team. This role includes organising meetings, maintaining project documentation, and preparing reports and official communications. The assistant will help plan and coordinate events such as regional conferences, policy dialogues, and outreach activities, handling logistics like travel and venue arrangements.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Applied Science discipline, Business Administration, Communication, Project Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an administrative or project support role, ideally within an academic, non-profit, or development project setting
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email management
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively
- Knowledge or interest in climate resilience, sustainability, or development is an asset
- Knowledge or interest in young people and youth-led initiatives is an advantage
